Two sides of sustainability
Business Principles
Alfa Laval's Business Principles, our Code of Conduct, describe the way we act within society whilst achieving our business goals. The four principles; Social, Business Integrity, Environment and Transparency include respecting the human rights of our employees and the communities in which we operate and our work to reduce environmental impact
Business opportunities
At Alfa Laval sustainability is also about capturing business opportunities. Our products and solutions are involved in treating water, improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and minimizing environmental pollution, as well as heating, cooling, separating and transporting food. In other words, sustainability is at the core of our business.
Accelerating the transition to carbon neutrality and circularity
Alfa Laval enables customers in the food, marine and energy industries to reach their current and future environmental challenges - read more about this and how we tackle our own sustainability challenges in our Sustainability Report 2020. Reach out to sustainability@alfalaval.com and let us know what you think!

Contribution to the UN Global Goals
The United Nations has adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, known as Global Goals, that world leaders have pledged to achieve. Cross-sector collaboration between civil society, academia and the business community is key to achieve these goals. Alfa Laval’s core business is strongly contributing to the achievement of many of the Global Goals.

Accelerating sustainable solutions
Imagine a more sustainable world. A world in which less is needed to produce even more. A world in which we efficiently meet our growing energy needs and at the same time reduce CO2 emissions. Imagine a world where we can harness the power of natural resources while preserving them. At Alfa Laval, we don't just imagine this world. We build it together with our customers and our partners.
